FNC will serve as the backbone of the Fancy Games P2E token economy, as well as the overall governance token for all future games in the ecosystem. FNC will be a core component in the flagship Fancy Birds game, used for breeding, earning, staking, customization of NFT assets, participating in exclusive tournaments and game modes, and overall value capture on the platform.
$FNC will be available for staking immediately after TGE on https://staking.fancybirds.io (link will be Live on Dec. 15th). A total of 10% of the supply is going to be available for staking for the first year. As well, a portion of all platform fees and value capture on Fancy Games will be given out to FNC stakers.
Initial Rounds
Fancy Games DAO completed a small pre-seed round led by well known DeFi founders and Angels in October. Some of the names included Kieran from Illuvium, Kain from Synthetix, Santiago (ex-Parafi), 0xMaki from Sushi, Anton Bukov from 1inch, Stani Kulechov from Aave, Tyler Ward from Barnbridge, Richard Ma from Quantstamp, Joey Santoro from Fei Protocol, and the Tokemak team.
Following the pre-seed, the team finished a Seed round led by Framework Ventures, and leading guilds Merit Circle, YGG, YGG SEA, and Polemos. Fancy Games DAO will work very closely with guilds to grow the mobile P2E ecosystem. All guilds participating in the Seed round also reserved customized Fancy Birds from the Genesis set of 8,888.
Fancy Birds will be the flagship game to start the Fancy Games arcade, with the initial design inspired by classic gaming mechanics. Scheduled to release in Q1 2022, there will be a genesis set of Fancy Birds that will be available through whitelist and public sale on game release.
